So I cooked this dish for the first time last night and y’all I thought it would be good, but it was amazing! My husband loved it so much he wanted me to make more for everyone at his work so he could show it off. I think that makes this dish a winner! While I don’t forsee me making it for everyone in his office, I do think I will be making it for our family again.
This recipe was inspired by some pastas I saw on Pinterest. Oftentimes I find a recipe that sounds like something we would like and I recreate it with my own spin on it. My own “spin” is usually simplified from the other recipes I see, I am not a thirty ingredient type of girl. If a recipe has twelve different spices I don’t have on hand or will never use again, count me out. My goal is always to cook flavor packed dishes with simple ingredients. I hope you will try this recipe yourself and if you do post a picture and tag me in it so I can see it!
Ingredients
1 lb chicken
8 oz of a pasta of our choice I used penne
1.5 cups traditional pasta sauce
1 cup heavy cream
1.5 cup shredded parmesan
1 ¼ cup shredded mozzarella
1 clove garlic minced
Pepper to taste
½ TBSP olive oil
Instructions
Cook your chicken how you would like (oven, skillet, or crock pot) I cooked mine in the crock pot and shredded it.
Boil your noodles to your liking and drain all water off of them.
In a skillet add your olive oil and minced garlic simmer until fragrant.
Add heavy cream and all of the cheese to your skillet with the garlic stir constantly.
When your cheese starts to melt add your pasta sauce. Still stirring constantly.
Once your cheese melts and your sauce is well melted together add your chicken and noodles to the skillet and season to taste with pepper.
Serve with parmesan sprinkled on top and serve with a side of bread and or veggies.
Enjoy!
I would love if you would share with your friends if you enjoy this recipe.
