Toddler Smoothie

It’s the age old issue of getting your kiddos to eat their veggies! That’s where we are at these days. Toddlerhood for us seems to mean eating nothing but snacks! I try, seriously, I try to get him to eat healthy nutritious foods! The boy won’t eat much of what I make for him. I make healthy nutritious foods and he nibbles at them, then 20 minutes after dinner he’s asking for a snack.
We’ve started making smoothies to get him some more nutrition. This may not be a total solution to our problem, but it sure helps us get some green veggies and fruit into his system. I want to add this disclaimer that you should not try to supplement this for a meal this is simply a good addition to the food they are already eating, it is a healthy “snack”
I hope your little one enjoys this smoothie recipe!
A hand full of frozen blueberries
3 medium strawberries
About a half cup frozen spinach
A half cup whole milk
2 tablespoons Greek yogurt (optional)
Throw all ingredients in the blender and blend thoroughly. You want to be sure there are no chunks of frozen berry that could be a choking hazard.
